— Supa’food’ikake —
The best tasting furikake, without all the unnecessary MSG, sugar, and preservatives. Just real food ingredients, with an added bonus of nutrition from a few extra superfoods.
Here are some basic recipes to help get you started…
Furikake over rice
This is a simple yet delicious way to consume supa’food’ikake… just boil some rice — white or brown or basmati — and sprinkle the furikake over it. This rice is great alongside some fresh poke or grilled fish or chicken.
This is another favorite… pop a bowl of corn, mix in some coconut oil or butter, as well as a generous sprinkle of supa’food’ikake, and salt to taste, and discover a new level of popcorn, made right at home.
Furikake Crusted Ahi or Fillet of Fresh Fish
Get a fresh fillet of your choice of fish (ahi tastes great!), and cut it into desired serving size.
Sprinkle the fish with some salt, then coat it with furikake as thoroughly as possible.
Cook the fish on a very hot cast iron skillet, using your preferred oil (butter, coconut oil, avocado oil, etc).
Depending on the thickness of the fillet, and the type of fish, and how you like it done, the cook time will vary significantly. Know your fish and how to best cook it (ask your local fishmonger for tips), and you will make a delicious dish that will impress all your friends.
Furikake For Breakfast!
Furikake is delicious sprinkled over scrambled or over-easy eggs, with some sautéed greens on the side…
